Riam Tinggi Village is a traditional Dayak village, where the community maintains local cultural traditions. Most residents adhere to the ancestral beliefs of Kaharingan. They live in harmony with nature. They rely on nature for their livelihoods, such as gardening, fishing, and honey harvesting. They protect their forests from encroachment. This is evident in the thousands of hectares of forest they still maintain.

Program (2 Days 1 Night) Day 1: Upon arrival at the airport, we will immediately depart by car for a four-hour drive to Riam Tinggi village. Every two hours, we can take a break for lunch or coffee at a food stall. Upon arrival at the village, attend a welcome ceremony called Totak Garung Pantan. During this ritual, you will be greeted with prayers by traditional Dayak elders and dancers. You will also participate in the dance. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a walk around the village and visit an ancient Dayak burial site. In the evening, another ritual is held indoors. This ritual is called Benaik Pikirani, where you will be welcomed by the villagers and prayed for by the elders for a good life. There will be traditional Dayak dances, and you will participate. The villagers will serve palm wine at each traditional ceremony. Day 2: Take a weaving or blowpipe making class, learn traditional culinary skills, and visit the villagers’ fields before returning.
DAYAK
The Dayak or Dyak or Dayuh are the native people of Borneo,/Kalimantan It is a loose term for over 200 riverine and hill-dwelling ethnic subgroups, located principally in the central and southern interior of Borneo, each with its own dialect, customs, laws, territory and culture, although common distinguishing traits are readily identifiable. Dayak languages are categorised as part of the Austronesian languages in Asia. The Dayak were animist in belief; however, many converted to Islam and since the 19th century there has been mass conversion to Christianity.
